The processing of the Elysium City project, in Castilblanco, continues the course after the initial approval of the Management Plan with Territorial Incidence and Execution of the Great Leisure Facility (POITEGIO), in relation to Decree 78/2020, of December 23, which qualifies as "Great Leisure Facility". This initiative formulated by Castilblanco Elysium Corporation, meets the processing requirements set out in Law 7/2018, of August 2, Extremadura of Large Leisure Facilities (LEGIO) which makes it possible to process in a unified way all administrative procedures for this type of projects and group the granting of all the necessary permits for their execution.

With the initial approval published in the Official Journal of Extremadura, the project is submitted to the public information procedure, including the Strategic Environmental Study, as well as the Urbanization Project and the Environmental Impact Study of the same and the relationship of the land for expropriation purposes.

As has already been stated, the Elysium Corporation project consists of a large leisure theme park that will occupy more than a thousand hectares in the town of Castilblanco, located in the region of Siberia of Extremadura, east of the province of Badajoz. The projected investment amounts to €10.5 billion until 2026. Its objective is to become a sustainable macrocity dedicated to leisure, which will lead to the creation of 30,000 jobs in construction and 26,000 in operation and maintenance, contributing to the generation of wealth and employment.

Law 7/2018, of August 2, Extremadura of Large Leisure Facilities (LEGIO) is a specific regulatory framework of the  Extremadura Government for this type of projects, so that not only can the administrative procedures to which they are subjected be accelerated, but also a soft landing is facilitated throughout the implementation process.
