The Governing Council has approved a decree declaring the initiative presented by the company Dehesa de Monfragüe S.L.U. for the installation of a free-range poultry farm in the town of Jaraicejo in Cáceres, a Business Project of Autonomous Interest (PREMIA).

The project consists of the creation of a new company with an expected investment volume of more than €14million and the creation of 27 jobs during the first year of activity.

The qualification of PREMIA supposes the priority and urgent character for all the regional procedure, reducing by half the ordinary deadlines established, except those related to the presentation of applications and resources, and the substitution of the urban planning license or, where appropriate, the license of works and provisional uses, by the consultation procedure in the terms provided in the regional regulations,  declaration of public utility or social interest and the possibility of being beneficiaries by direct granting of subsidies for employment purposes.

Decree-Law 12/2020, of June 19, establishes that those that involve the implementation or expansion of one or more business facilities in Extremadura and that have a significant impact on employment and the productive fabric may be classified as business projects of regional interest.
