The Extremadura Government has approved the Decree declaring as PREMIA, the initiative presented by the company Cartonajes Extremadura S.L. for the construction of a corrugated cardboard factory in Navalmoral de la Mata. The planned investment will exceed €30 million, with the creation of more than 20 jobs during the first year of activity.

The qualification of the project as PREMIA entails the following advantages:

∙         Be declared of public utility or social interest.

∙         Have priority character for the entire regional administration, reducing by half the established deadlines.

∙         The planning permission or the building permit will be replaced by the consultation procedure.

∙         Establishment or extension for access roads, energy transport and distribution lines and liquid or gas pipelines.

∙         Direct granting of subsidies for job creation.

Other projects to obtain the PREMIA declaration are currently under study. PREMIA is a legal initiative promoted by the Extremadura Government whose objective is to accelerate investment projects of high interest to the region.
