The Ministry of Economy and Business has approved the granting of aid amounting to 10.56 million euros for ten projects submitted by telecommunications operating companies in Extremadura in the 2019 call for the New Generation Broadband Broadband Program (PEBA) -NGA).

The PEBA is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Feder), accelerating the extension of coverage of very high speed broadband networks and facilitating its deployment in areas without coverage current or planned in the next three years, which are especially rural areas with dispersed population.
