Extremadura company that uses green and circular economy, converts garbage into gas The future of Extremadura is nourished by renewable energy

22 août 2023

Francisco Guzmán, from Extremadura and founding partner of AGF Biogás, manages from the Siglo XXI tower in Badajoz, biogas and biomethane plants in Zaragoza, Burgos and Tarragona and seeks other formulas of green and circular energy to convert waste into gas.

It is a company that has just opened a market in Norway, has more than 15 projects carried out in the United Kingdom, has just completed a study to make the most of food waste at Madrid airport. This gas is used for self-sufficiency, generating electricity and heating water. They inject it into the chemical network for homes and businesses throughout Spain.

The results will be more visible when an applied research and development center is ready, whose installation is processed in the Science and Technology Park in Badajoz. Extremadura is taking advantage of its competitive advantages to become the epicenter of the expansion of renewable energies in Spain.
